Christmas Vacation: Christmas

Christmas came and Indy's present went......to pieces.

Better to chew and destroy than not to chew at all.

There was not a large exchange or opening of presents. Nana made small stockings for everyone, but Shane had already opened all of his late birthday/Christmas gifts by the time Carrie and I arrived. We left our gifts at home to help coax Shane into the car Monday.

For now, he bathed.

The adults played.

Kittens were exploded. Shane jumped in for Batman after his bath.

There was one more present, too! From Matt and Renee:

Dillion caught the exploding cat bug next. Shania, not so much.

Afterwards, the non-responsibles split up for movies. Carrie and I passed off Shane to Nana and Pop and went to see Rogue One!

Meanwhile, Pop was busy transcribing. He's the original writer in the family. Pop found a bunch of old letters he wrote in 1985. He used to write letters, xerox them at work, and mail them out to the world. It's a neat time warp for me. I hope that one day my blog serves a similar function for Shane.

I hope to write many more stories in the meantime.

Assuming Carrie doesn't kill me first. I told her I wouldn't post the video, but.....

Isn't this baking soda volcano cool?

This is also the last you will see of this tennis ball.

There was a little fetch before it was broken in half and discarded.

Christmas dinner was provided by Chefs Matt and Renee.

The night ended with food and fellowship.

I think everyone watched a Christmas movie after Carrie and I left. We settled in for our final, peaceful night at the hotel.

Merry Christmas, all. And to all a good night!
