$1 tickets? Sign us up! Shane and I met up with Dylan and Eli to see Kubo of the Two Strings. Shane and I waited outside on the balcony so he could look for Dylan's car. Then it was a race inside.
The kids immediately veered to the arcade games. At $1 per play, the kids could have played the Batman car game for $60 an hour.
The movie was the better deal. It was a good movie, too. The other choice was Ratchet and Clank. Shane and I had already seen that one on Netflix.
Small world moment: Shane and I bumped into Dylan's friends Miles and Mason in the ticket line. After the movie, the TKD Summer Camp for his dojang marched by! Shane had to bow to his master instructor.
The boys all ran back to the arcade machines on the way out. However, there was a table that promised freebies.
Freebies led to pizza.
Pizza led to lunch out.
Lunch out led to more time with friends.
All-in-all, we were out of the house for nearly four hours.
Weekly movies out for a buck could be a summer standard. Somehow, we've been too busy popping around before now to try one. I would definitely recommend it.
