After not going anywhere Saturday, Shane and I stayed out of the house Sunday until it was time for evening horse chores.
It started with visiting Eli, Dylan, and Ava! They couldn't make it to Shane's birthday party last week, so Shane was desperate to visit them.
We dropped by their place after church and Wawa.
John and I took the boys for a walk that ended up with a roll. In the picture, Eli is putting on the coat that he didn't want to bring, but John insisted. "I'm not putting this on because I'm cold," Eli said. "It's to protect from sticks as I roll!"
Dylan and Eli had a busy Saturday beforehand and got their 2nd vaccine shots.....but you can tell it didn't slow them down any.
The boys somehow ended up rolling down the hill in triplicate.
I was half worried Eli would get squished and angry, but he was laughing just as much as the rest of them!
I would've been happy to let the boys roll around longer, but John was ready to get a move on.
He'd promised treats at Wawa to his kids for completing the circuit.
Goldie and I hung outside together while John and the kids went in.
The kids demolished their treats on the way home. "Look! A baby Christmas tree behind the guardrail!" Shane yelled.
How can you top that moment? The boys tried by playing Roblox when we got back, but I don't think it was even in the same league of awesome.
When we got back home, Carrie loaded Bucket in the back of the car. Our Sunday excursions weren't over yet!
We met Grandma and Grandpa in Zion's Crossroads to hand over their cat and give them some Christmas vests.
Grandma and Grandpa wanted food, so we went inside a Mexican restaurant to eat (After not eating in any sit-down restaurants for almost all of COVID, I spent back to back weekends in them with each set of Carrie and I's parents).
Shane ate his plate and said, "I love Mexican food!" (That's my boy!).
Poor Bucket was probably unhappy waiting in their car, but she got home safely to her kid-and-other-pet-free palace.
