It hasn't been all fun and games with Shane away. There's still chores to be done!
I got to see "Carrie's method" of poop scooping. She drives the mower around and scoops directly into the spreader.
It's louder and uses a little more gas, but it allows her to most fast and avoid picking up heavy buckets.
Originally, Wednesday was going to be a "Date Day" for us. It morphed into a "Recovery Day," instead. Carrie slept past 8:30 AM and was asleep by 8 PM. We did chores, but other than that there was a lot of TV. We watched the last three episodes of Hawkeye (Fun!) and watched nine ~20 minute anime episodes. I usually like more activity and less passivity, but I was running a little slower myself due to the booster shot (We'll say 95% - It wasn't as bad as I remember the 2nd shot being, hallelujah!).
Thursday, we had our actual date! Some of the boarders pitched in and got us a gift card for a sushi restaurant.....that happened to be closed for Winter Break! It was a good thing we looked up the menu before we left, or we would have been very surprised when we arrived to closed doors!
We went to Sushi King for lunch instead. I even ordered Christmas rolls, because Christmas!
We rented Spider-Man: Far From Home on Amazon and had a movie night after. It was a rollicking good time!
I've used my downtime all week to catch up on the blog, so I'm pretty close to back on schedule. I imagine there will be a few more big holiday posts coming up soon. Christmas is almost here!
