Wednesday was my chance to say goodbye to Burrough. He's moving with his family to Thailand to teach at an international Christian school. God brought us together for the virtual year for our mutual benefit. We split the work, joked, and even talked Bible Project whenever no one showed up for office hours. It felt like we were our own small group. I was sad to see my new friend go, but he's got an exciting opportunity where the Lord is leading him.
Before he left, Burrough gave me a slab of frozen venison. He needed to clear out the freezer before flying to Oregon and he preferred gifting it over trashing it. Carrie cooked it up and Shane had his first taste of deer!
The cats went nuts. Tsuki dumpster dived and pulled the plastic wrap halfway out before I stopped her.
I sent Marcel the pic of Carrie's meal and he approved. If he gets a steam account, we may play something one of these days while he's trapped in quarantine with his kids for 2 weeks....provided a toddler and a baby in a hotel room in a foreign country don't drive him crazy!
