A More Social Summer

Signs are pointing towards a more social summer than last! I'd like to do road trips and reconnect more when school ends, but people are already dropping by the barn.  

Saturday, I got to play some more Crew with Mark and Scott. We made it to the final mission!

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit Sunday. It was Grandma's first since having her knee replaced. 

I took Shane to the pool midday and later he hopped on the phone with Bryce to play on Roblox. 

I made Shane take a break when Ellie and Landie came by for chores.....and they brought someone new!

Ellie's boyfriend and his daughter came by to meet Magic (Ellie's horse) and somehow Maddy got roped into giving a pony ride.

Part of it was Carrie wanted to try out a new outfit on her.

Carrie may not like this picture, but I love the expression. "You will wear this pony and you will be squealing cute!"

The kids weren't as interested in the getting ready, so they walked and talked.....and Magic got relaxed. "Wow! Look how big his penis is!"

I wish I wrote down some of what the kids said, but I was too busy trying not to laugh and feel awkward as they discussed horse privates. 

Bryce was dying for Shane to play, so Shane went back inside. Meanwhile, Carrie gave a faux-drill sergeant rundown. "This is my pony. She is cute. You will smile if you want to ride my pony!" 

And there were smiles! Ellie walked alongside and took some pictures, so I only took a few myself before retiring indoors.

If I thought it would be quieter, I was wrong. Shane and Bryce get loud when they play together! Shane kept spamming Kathleen's phone trying to get Cole on a conference call, as well (He doesn't get "Call once and give them a chance to reply.").

Only one weekend remains after this one before summer starts. I'm looking forward to it!
