I took Monday off. It's the first day I took off this year. But if I thought it was going to be a day of relaxing and snoozing....
....I was wrong. Someone was coming by to look at the barn and Carrie wanted to spruce things up. That mean weeding and cleaning in addition to normal chores.
So I spent the time window I would've been driving to school driving buckets of rotting hay to the woods.
My ride or die didn't seem too fond of riding along with me. I don't like how Loki tries to herd the gator, so I made him hop in with me. Loki barked the whole time!
When I was done, I hopped on Zoom to start the class for Marcel. Not what you'd expect for taking the day off, right? I don't like missing work in general, but it used to be easier to create some distance before Zoom came into the picture!
I did log off after a little bit, exercised, and tried to take care of some other things around the house. I had to log back on for my teacher evaluation meeting at 1 PM, though (It figured it'd be the one day I took off!).
Still, it was nice to take most of the day. I had enough energy to take Shane to the pool that evening. One of my students showed up and did a double-take when he saw me!
There are three days left in the week and then a day and a half next week. The end is nigh!
