Retrospective

Originally, I balked when my wife wanted to spend over $100 on a baby monitor. It came with a pair of receivers and a pair of newfangled sensors. The sensors job was to sit under the mattress and alert you if your infant ever stopped breathing. Carrie was too paranoid to sleep without someone watching Shane in the beginning, so I agreed.

It's lasted over three years now. The monitor is hidden in a corner behind Shane's bed to prevent him from playing with it. It's on 24/7 and it still hasn't crapped out.

Turns out, it was a fair deal.
