Spring Break Day 1: On The Trailer Trail!

We swung by Dylan's to say farewell before Carrie, Shane, and I started our Spring Break adventure.

Our next scheduled stop: Blue Ridge Trailers!

While Carrie filled out the paperwork, Shane and I found sticks that could double as swords.

The trailer needed to be looked over and inspected, because Carrie found a woman to swap trailers with. The woman wanted to swap smaller; Carrie wanted to swap larger.

Shane and I didn't really care one way or another. We just wanted to go on an adventure. I kept him busy the hour and a half we were at the shop.

My life was in more peril than Shane's in this shot (What Carrie doesn't know...). I certainly didn't encourage him to go down backwards either...(I just called him chicken until he tried it).

We read a whole Captain Underpants book on the next leg of the trip: Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants!

It took us about three and a half hours to haul the trailer up to Hagerstown, Maryland. The area was more built up and had heavier traffic than I expected from the population size on Wikipedia. They had their own events going on.

We didn't have trouble finding a place to park the trailer, at least. Carrie chose our hotel based on the lot size from satellite photography.

Unfortunately, we forgot chocks. Carrie wasn't comfortable leaving the trailer to explore the city, so we walked across the parking lot to Chili's for dinner.

Fourth floor up, middle right window with the light on. That's us.

Leg 1 of our Spring Break adventure was done for the night!
