The Basement Mystery

Months later, Nova is still here and something of a mystery. She works, goes to classes, and her car won't start in cold weather. Sometimes, we smell when she cooks something. 

Other than that, facts are scarce. Carrie's talked to her a couple of times and we invited her up for dinner over the historical snow weekend. She declined due to a diet. Shane and I helped her clear snow off her car later. She's friendly whenever our paths cross, but they don't cross that often. 

Maybe we'll see her more when the weather is nicer. Shane and I used to see Emily a lot when we played outside (Raheem even raced her once).

New Renter

Our new renter moved in last Saturday. Her name, is Nova! She's originally from Georgia, found her way up to Maine, and then wandered back down to Virginia. It's only been a week, but no obvious problems have popped up on either side yet.

If she sticks around, I'll post more when we know her better. I haven't seen her since move in day.

Emily's Exit

Emily gave her 30 day's notice on Saturday. The professor she works with is going on a retreat and asked Emily if she'd tend to his house. We're sad to see her go, but it sounds like a great opportunity.

We have not decided on our next step yet. We're going to wait to go down, clean up, and poke around before we advertise, upgrade, or set up a room of our own.

Oops

I accidentally stole the last of Emily's detergent (our renter). I had to run out and replace it before she needed any more.
