We're Taking Off Wednesday

Decorations are modest so far.

Today was going to be a TKD day, but we decided to take off. Carrie had a long day (she drove to Richmond to meet her mom and patch a long-damaged bridge with a family friend). I had a long day (it's been a busy week), and I didn't get Shane home until after 5:30 PM (TKD starts at 6:05 PM).

We went to Wegmans for dinner and played video games. Carrie and Shane are both enamored with Ratchet and Clank.

I did some laundry and we called it a night.

Christmas Decorations

It's beginning to look a lot like furniture,...

...moved where you go!

My wife and kid worked on the tree together

to turn the tree a-glow.

Shane has asked all week to put the tree up. We turned it into a birthday weekend event.

Shane asked if we had a chimney for Santa to come down, too. He wanted to know if we could make a hole in our fireplace for him to crawl out of.

We'll put up lights outside Sunday.

UPDATE: Shane and Raheem helped me decorate. 

It's not the most even, but it kept them entertained. Carrie had plans, but it's a moot point now!
