Football is on.
UPDATE:
Shane and I went outside to keep it quiet and throw a frisbee. We came back in time for the end of the game. Carrie woke up shortly thereafter.
We checked on the chickens and Carrie swung wide the door to freedom.
The chicks were content to peck upon the threshold. Perhaps the hasta of fear discouraged venturing further abroad.
Shane had a very hard time being patient.
I don't think we have to worry about the chickens running away if the door is open. Ever.
After almost 10 minutes, we were bored and tired of waiting. Carrie picked up a couple clucks and forced the yard upon them. Henry and his dad wandered over during the trial of patience.
When the boys started to play "race around the chickens," Carrie raced to put them back!
