It was a smaller gathering this year. There were some new faces, a new puppy, and Carrie brought out the chickens.
Buffy was a hit.
Sam was beside himself with glee. He danced for her.
Carrie introduced Buffy to Ryan and Kacey's puppy, Appa.
It went well until the kids got overexcited. They spooked Buffy. She started flapping and squawking and spooked Appa.
He hid under the bench until he was sure it was safe enough to come out again.
Raheem showed up partway through the festivities. The boys ran around for a little while until they all started to try and tackle me. Will ended up doing Squats with Rah on one shoulder and Shane on the other.
Buffy got to go back inside and Carrie upgraded to a bigger bird.
I was surprised Carrie brought out one bird let alone two! She went back in to rest after the birds and Shane retreated when it got too cold and dark for his liking.
That is so cool that Carrie let everyone see those 2 chickens. I'm sure it made for a more memorable and fun event for everyone, especially the children. Way to go, Carrie!
