Carrie sent Shane and I on an errand to the post office. We happened to be in the neighborhood of one of my student's soccer games, so we dropped in.
Shane was happy, but less interested in soccer and more in the trees. I eventually handed him my phone when he started to get too high up for me to watch the game.
We left at half time, so that we could get home and get ready for our game. The kids had a lot of fun playing around BEFORE the game. Coach Brian played "spin cycle,"
...and Coach Jeanluc looked like he was playing kickball with the boys.
Then it was time to get serious and ready to play.
Unless your name is Shane.
In all fairness, Coach Brian did the first handstand. Then Robert tried and Shane continued it....and continued it...
The game went better than last week. The two 10 minute periods were 3-3 and then 0-0 on Shane's fields if I recall correctly.
Shane started to get frustrated and melt down a little in the second half. He's passionate. He gets that from both Carrie and I.
Snacks salves all.
Then a couple of the kids were going to the playground, so I walked up with Shane.
It was the opposite way of our car, but why waste a pretty day?
