I Should Be Writing

Well, I made it to Winter Break! The staff meeting ran long, but we didn't have to have PLC meetings afterward. That meant I was done by 3:30 PM.

And I should've done some writing. 

I'm just over two weeks behind on the blog and I need to write something to share with my writing partner by the end of the month.

School's done, Shane's at Nana and Pop's, and I haven't typed a word. I'm still processing that I made it to the (temporary) finish line.

There are still horse chores to do. Carrie's been acting out of commission all week and I've done them 98% solo. 

I'm not writing this on 12/18 either. I sat down to type something and lost focus. I typed some notes, so I know what I was distracted with: Music and nostalgia.

My co-teacher recommended the group. I'd heard them before on the radio, but didn't recognize the name. Promises is probably my favorite of their songs I've discovered.

And I know I was looking at toddler Shane pictures and reminiscing. I liked that sweater on him.

I know all about being distracted. Sometimes I'm shot by 9 PM when I finally have the opportunity to write something.

But I'm catching up now! I hope to be caught up by Christmas.
