Carrie's follow up was today. The doctor said, "I've been looking forward to meeting you! You have some very interesting x-rays!"
He quickly clarified. They were "interesting" in a good way. He was excited to know how Carrie had hurt herself.
Carrie will be a couch-time regular for the next two to three weeks. The doctor hoped she would turn the corner and walk without a walker after that. No surgery required. Our next check-in will be at the end of the month. It will take longer than that to be fully healed, but at least Carrie didn't break her one surgery a year average (in a bad way!).
