Carrie did a thing on Friday. She went fox-hunting with Lilly!
She was nervous about going with Lilly alone off property. She'd hoped Barbara would go with her, but when it didn't work out Carrie still went.
And she had a great time! She said Lilly did great save for one moment with a dog underfoot (and that was to be expected for a first time hunter).
She laughed at how this photo showcased Lilly's height (or lack thereof!).
And as of the time I actually typed this, Carrie has now gone on two successful hunts!
Carrie's definition of a successful hunt is it's fun, Lilly does well, and nothing is actually caught.
It looked like she got to play camerawoman for this one.
She wasn't in any group shots, but I still got a selfie for her.
Regularly riding off property has been one of Carrie's goals, so it's nice to see it happening! She knew multiple people in the club online, but had never met them in person.
For originally being bought to be "a grandma horse," Lilly has been a great match for Carrie and what she wants to do. I'm glad Carrie's out and being social!
