Last Swim Lesson

Shane had his last swim lesson on Tuesday. I don't think he got as much out of this round as when he did it with me, but it was fun! He enjoyed playing and I enjoyed watching him.

It was interesting to watch Shane in a class dynamic with other kids. The verdict is "energetic."

Shane's attention wanders quickly, but he was good about listening to redirection (for the most part!).

We won't be continuing with swim lessons for the rest of summer, though.

It gets pricey.

It was a great for all of the bad weather and prior to Nana's pool opening for the summer.

(This has been hanging around a while! There was lightning and the power went out while Shane was showering after his lesson. Very exciting for him! The traffic light out on the way home let him get more TV time in the car, too.)

When summer is done, Carrie and I will revisit whether or not to continue swim lessons. It's an incredibly valuable life skill. However, I don't want to go broke on it if Shane isn't ready for it.

We'll practice at Nana's pool in the meantime!
