Soccer Take 2

Shane did fantastic at his second soccer practice! Maybe two weeks in between was what he needed. The hurricane rains cancelled practice the week prior.

Shane ran with his teammates and listened to his coaches.

I like to see the different exercises and drills they have to keep the kids engaged.

I had the best video of Shane during the follow the leader exercise...., but it got deleted.

Here's the set-up. 

Shane raised his hand and raised it higher than anyone else when the coach asked for volunteers. When it was his turn, though, he froze.

And then he took off.

He left his soccer ball behind and sprinted off and to the right.

Coach Cory didn't miss a beat. "Chase Shane, kids!"

The whole team took off after Shane as he circle the field. It was hilarious!

Shane was on an emotional high. He even played in the game and high-fived the other team at the end. It was amazing to see that sort of social progress after only one practice.
