Shane has opted to read to himself for bedtime story the past couple of nights. He said, "I can read and listen to you!"
I didn't buy it and that was okay. Shane read on his own and looked through books for a while each night. I read silently to myself.
Remembering the goal is always important: I want Shane to enjoy reading. Sharing stories with him is one way, but him actually wanting to read is another. We'll get back to Prydain eventually.
