It had a tornado on the front. Pretty epic for a four year old!
The chapters were short enough to keep Shane interested. The occasional pictures helped, too. Maybe Shane and I will look for more when we hit the library next. I never read any from this series as a kid, but I shelved enough to know there's a lot to choose from.
Pop and I knew from the title and the picture that Shane would love it when we got it! But we thought he was too young for it now! So surprised he would listen to a chapter book already! What a boy! What a dad!
ReplyDeleteFor the record, we read it over the course of the entire day. Shane and I read a few chapters before church and then a few more before nap. At bed time, Carrie notched off a few chapters with Shane and then he and I finished off the book (no cliffhangers before bed!).
