A plumbing emergency launched us onto the road earlier than I liked, but life waits for no one. We had an uneventful ride back. Shane was stubborn and refused to nap, so he was probably bored for a chunk of it (That's what happens when you refuse to read books or draw and only want a phone that your dad refuses to yield).
We made it home in time to pay the plumber and open presents. We all liked opening presents better (except the plumber).
All chickens, cats, and luggage accounted for.
