Tee-Ball Meeting

Shane and I showed up at the tee-ball meeting earlier. I made him stand with me until I realized it was more of a grown-up talk and appeal for volunteers.

I turned Shane loose and he rolled in the dirt with the other kids.

I had to move in closer when the kids started to throw baseballs. Shane's got a wild arm. I was able to listen, wince, and pray simultaneously.

One of Shane's friends from after-school is in the same league. The boys ran around after. Shane wanted to play "Jail!" I don't know if they were trying to escape or break in to the dugouts. They switched to stick sword fighting soon thereafter.

I signed a form to be a volunteer and Shane got a free glove before we left. I don't really want to coach a whole team, but if I'm going to be at practice anyway I don't mind helping.

We're going to need to start playing catch! The season should start in two or three weeks. I think they're making things up as they go.

Shane and I read a themed library book after we got home.

I think I'm more excited about the season than he is.
