Summer Writings

To earn his allowance and electronics, Shane had to do a little writing each day. Usually it was 4 sentences on a topic. The goal was to make him practice his handwriting, spelling, and writing some and to increase his tolerance for it in small, but steady increments.

I took some pictures of what he wrote and figured I'd share for an easy blog post.

In the beginning, I made Shane write a draft and then rewrite it with corrections. Later, there were times I picked three words he misspelled. I'd have them write them ten times and then do a mini spelling test.
