Back North for Me

After dropping off Shane Sunday, I headed back north on my lonesome Monday morning around 11 AM. He was going to try out a gymnastics class with Nana, and it was natural parting point. I don't think he missed me for much longer than it took to hop in the car with Nana and drive off!

I gassed up and then made the six hour trip in one sitting (Almost a full day's work for a trucker).

Or I would have made the trip in six hours if Carrie hadn't called me to say, "I need you to make a detour" about 20 minutes from home.

Grandma and Grandpa's sink disposal broke Saturday. Carrie ordered a new one and what did you think she'd do when it arrived?

If you didn't say, "Rip out the old one," then you don't know my wife. She was in full project mode and sent me a list of a few other things she needed.

Like dinner. I "cooked" Cook-out for both of us(even after being on the road all afternoon.....which meant I got to eat fries on the way home).

Carrie was happy to see me, food, and supplies when I arrived.

The dish disposal is dead.

Long live the dish disposal!

The smaller unit opened up some new storage possibilities for Grandma, too.

No photo description available.

Carrie attacked a few other problems areas around the house. She used dry wall anchors to fix a shelf, fixed a door where the deadbolt wouldn't seat, and the piece de resistance...

...Carrie used magnets to make the trash cans stay hidden away. They had a tendency to creep out and share their scent.
I have a very handy wife (and her hands look great in videos, too).
