Belt Test Surprise

Surprise! Shane was testing for his next belt Wednesday. No one gave us the form or warned us, but I at least suspected it was a possibility. Master Instructor asked Shane if he was ready. "Yes sir!"

Shane was on his best behavior from that point on. I wish he could have a belt test attitude all the time.

The absolutely highly darn delightful showed during the knowledge testing. Shane's the only kid I've seen absentmindedly flip up the tablecloth the whole time. I don't think either instructed noticed. I cringed and prayed that Shane didn't accidentally pull the whole thing down.

Shane got to break a real board at the end. He wanted to break a big board. Master Instructor let him.

And so, Shane passed! He's going to get a new belt before Christmas.

It was a happy note to end our beginning of the week activity blitz on.
