Trailer Trip

With Sam potentially sold, Carrie's been rethinking things.

A random conversation with her dad took her thoughts in a new direction: Towards trailers.

Grandpa mentioned that RVs are flying off lots at dinner. People aren't planning international trips, but everyone wants to get out and go somewhere.

So Carrie thought, "What about horse trailers?"

Carrie called the dealership we bought our trailer from and they said, "We can't keep trailers on the lot." Two horse trailers with a dressing room were selling like hot cakes and there was a list of names for if one ever showed up.

We have a two-horse trailer with a dressing room.

The dealership had a 3 horse trailer on the lot that interested Carrie. Her long term goal is that our family could trailer out and go on a trail ride together. Plus, it was slightly wider and could transport the mower.

It looked like we had a chance to sell our trailer for a profit and upgrade at the cost of the dressing room. It sounded too good to be true, but we prayed about it and decided to take a look.

Carrie's first act was to clean out the trailer. It helps when you can back it up to some trees and push the poop out.

She worked her butt off. She picked up the floor mats and went over everything.

If the deal was legit, we were ready.

The dealership was past Carrie's parents, so she picked up Grandma on her way. They had a mother-daughter outing day.

We learned a few things. The main two were this: Our trailer is worth something and we're not going to sell it yet.

The trailer on the lot was custom built to house a buggy and it didn't fit our needs. The sale for Sam is still pending and there's a lot to think about, but we don't need to pull the trigger right now.

Carrie learned a lot and has ideas for the future, but we're happy with what we have and not in a rush. Shane and I have to learn to ride before we trailer anywhere!
