I got to have a "Blog Day," because Carrie took Shane to Busch Gardens. She wanted to go before our passes expired and I thought it was a great idea. We looked into whether or not we could kennel the puppies, but Kila won't be old enough to have all of her shots for a while yet.
Carrie's a big Busch Gardens fan. I went to King's Dominion as a kid. KD is closer to where we are now, but Carrie will pick BG every single time over it. She has park traditions like always starting with the Loch Ness Monster.
And it was awesome she could share that enthusiasm with Shane. I got a picture of the two of them eating at the Fest House.
The chocolate cake was back, so Carrie sent me a picture!
Aside from eating, they spent the whole time going on rollercoaster after rollercoaster!

Shane got his wish granted to try out the newest rollercoaster, Pantheon. However, Carrie said they waited for nearly an hour just to have it break down three trips before they got on! They were told to try again in an hour or two.
Carrie doesn't have the stamina to stay all day, but since we have passes it doesn't matter. Quick trips are still a good deal and BG has the added bonus of BG is that Grandma and Grandpa are on the route. Shane and Carrie stopped by to greet them on the way home.
Amazingly, Carrie kept the whole trip a surprise. She told Shane they were going to visit Grandpa and Grandma. Then she gave him a Switch. He didn't realize anything was up until he looked up at the entrance to the park and lost his mind. Carrie was cackling as she told me all about it!
Shane and Carrie got a day full of excitement while I got a day to rest and catch up with writing. A win-win! I love win that happens!
