Good bye, SC. It was fun. We left a little after 9 AM.
Shane would have cried on the way out, but I gave him a lunchbox with Pokemon cards. His eyes dried instantaneously. Those cards kept him entertained for hours.
We made great time on the way back.
Unless you were a cat.
The cats weren't happy.
Both kittens started to shed, mew, and hunker down. They are not fans of long car rides anymore (if they ever were).
Bucket was so desperate for comfort she'd jump into Shane's arms.
Which seems nice in theory, but he doesn't always pay attention. I don't think it'd be worth it to me to find a lap and take an elbow to the back of the head.
We made a pit stop at a veterinary clinic to pick up a botulism vaccine shot. Carrie moved the cats to the back of the car to make sure they knew where the litter box was. Bucket was still in shock. She laid down in the litter box and refused to come out until we were miles down the road (and she immediately sought out another lap).
Bucket was the brave one at Nana and Pop's, but Max was the braver one in the car. She looked around a little in between naps.
We stopped at Sonya's after Carrie got the shot.
Can you guess who the vaccine shot was for?
I think Nibs recognized me, because she wandered over and none of the other babies did.
We finally got home around 6 PM. It was a long day in the car. We unloaded and then ordered pizza. Tomorrow would be back to the daily grind.
