We made it home Monday in time for basketball practice.
The coaches let the kids play around and shoot before practice began in earnest.
They practiced, prayed, and then played.
A skirmish that is.
The kids definitely need game practice. Sometimes, I'm tempted to stand up and help, but there were already three adults out there today.
Tuesday, I took Shane to wrestling. His friend Ryan has a stomach bug and couldn't make it. We arrived a few minutes early and Shane played with some other kids and a tape-ball.
Shane must have thought the game was keep away.
Which is a full-contact, tackle sport in a wrestling room.
Shane grabbed a new partner.
He sort of looked like a wrestler at times.
We went to Taekwando for the first time in a month the next day. The instructor asked where we'd been. "Vacation," I said.
"Some vacation!" he replied.
Shane was a little over-stimulated, but it worked out well enough. The instructor gave him a red, "good attitude" stripe at the end.
We had to get back in the swing of things. Me included. I forgot all of Shane's gear. I took it out to make room for luggage when we'd driven to SC and never put it back.
