We took a family trip to see Grandma and Grandpa over the weekend! Grandpa has been working on "Charlottesville."
It was a working vacation for Carrie, but we all got some board game time in. Grandma played Cathedral with Shane. Boo watched.
It wasn't something I would choose, but it was better than Monopoly. Shane seems to like any game without decisions that puts money in his hand.
He landed on a spot where he had to pay $60k to buy a pair of horses! I couldn't stop laughing and took a picture.
Shane (and random chance) stomped me all game. Due to the rules, though, I was able to pick a number and spin at the end for a chance to win....and I did. I'm not sure how either of us felt about that.
I re-taught Shane how to play Parcheesi the next morning while the travel folks worked on travel stuff.
Shane got plenty of iPad time in and tried to catch some fish, as well. I didn't take pictures of those. Carrie played some Pandemic LS2 with me, too!
We left early Sunday afternoon. Carrie and I decided to make a pit stop by the Starbucks we first met at. It had moved locations slightly, but there was a Five Guys nearby now! Shane had no idea of the significance, but he enjoyed cracking peanuts and stuffing his face with a cheeseburger.
