On my own, but not alone

With Carrie and Shane out of town, I was the only lap available. Every cat in the house made a move on me.

It didn't matter what I was trying to do.

I had to shoo them off when I was grading. Loki kept patrol under the table.

Laura and Amy didn't come out, so I spent a large chunk of my Sunday taking care of all the animals. Then I switched to taking care of the human animals I work with at school (aka - I graded. A LOT!).

I took breaks, but there was a lot to do. I worked through all of Nora's backlog and it felt good to be up to date. I can't watch TV and concentrate on something else, so it was a quiet day (I actually like having those once a week).

I made a goal for myself to get caught up on the blog while the house was quiet. I was a month and a half behind! I made an outline, but that's as far as I got for the night.

Still, I would've liked to have had Carrie and Shane show back up for bedtime. I appreciated the quiet day, but knowing my family is nearby and tucked in safely at night is one of my purposes in life. I knew they were all off having fun, though!
