Starlink on Stilts

Carrie had me pick up some 2x4's from Lowe's while Shane was at his volleyball practice. She had an idea to improve our internet.

It was more of a proof of concept. The starlink receiver wants to orient North. We have it on the south side of the house, so the house becomes an obstacle. Why not raise it higher?

There are kits that will allow us to mount the receiver on the roof, but those take time for delivery. It's on the docket, but stilts were able to be done ASAP. Our service improved afterward, too!

If the service is Northerly, why don't we have the receiver on the North side of the house? There's already a cable coming in from the deck. Our old router setup was on the other side and our TV is right there, too.

Long term, we'll need to install the receiver on the roof this summer. For the moment, ain't nobody got time for that!
