I had to pick up feed after wrestling practice one day. It used up the last of the Bucket-mobile's gas reserves.
I was running on fumes, warning light glaroing. I wanted to push closer to Scottsville before refueling, though. The parents of a wrestler owned one of the gas stations en route. I don't get a discount, but I like to support people I know when I can. The math didn't support that option, though. I decided to grab a gallon on the way home...., but changed my mind when new facts were brought to light.
That's right, free fried chicken!
Brown's has offered the deal as long as we've lived here. Free fried chicken with a fill-up has has been on my bucket list, and today was going to be the day. Horse, car, and Mike fuel all on the same trip? Highly efficient! I hadn't eaten much at work and was starving post practice. I could smell the fried chicken over the gas fumes as I pumped.
I was mad when a cold splash of reality ruined it all. The bucket-mobile only had a 10 gallon tank.
I strongly considered pumping the last 0.4 of a gallon into a trash can to get my piece of chicken.
That is so funny! I didn't know that you and Carrie had a Bucket-mobile car at your house. Too bad you didn't have an empty gas can with you. Now you have me wanting fried chicken. Love, Mom/Nana
