Shane spent Friday morning at Chuck E Cheese with everyone while Carrie and I packed out. We left a little after 1:00 PM.
It would turn out to be a long ride. We had to detour off the Interstate in SC. Then there were four wrecks before we hit Charlotte. One, we saw ahead of us about 2 seconds after the initial collision.
Carrie played naviguesser and tried to steer us around a chunk of construction traffic north of Charlotte next. We had over an hour tacked on to the drive.
Shane drooled through that extra hour.

We made it home about 8:20 PM. Shane was still tired enough from the week to go to bed at 9 PM.
All cats and chickens accounted for. No extras picked up en route either.
