Carrie likes anime and cooking, so sometimes the two get mashed together.
Furikake is a Japanese condiment to sprinkle on rice that is both fun to say and delicious. We'd tried some basic grocery store furikake before and liked it, so Carrie bought a variety pack of flavors to try out.
Loki stayed at Carrie's side to supervise.
He wasn't totally disappointed.
Once the onigiri was made it was "Pick your flavor of furikake and have at it!" Shane steered away from the wasabi flavored variety! I gave it two thumbs up, but I think the katsuo fumi was my favorite variety for plain onigiri.
It was a fun meal. Rice is nearly all carbs so it would've been a better lunch than dinner, but maybe that will happen some time in the future. We only opened four of the seasonings up this time, so there are still more to try!
