Shane was on the news!
Well, the school announcements, at least.
Shane had told us it was his turn. "I bet you're an awesome announcer. That seems right up your alley," I said. "I want to see it!"
After days of asking, Shane followed through with talking to his teacher and she sent us a link! It was his last time to do it and Shane did a great job. I'm not exaggerating or being parent-biased, either. Shane spoke up loud and clear, read fluently, and injected personality.
I recorded it on my phone, but I'm not sure I want to post it here yet. Both Shane and the other girl said their full names, so I'd rather wait a while. Maybe I'll remember to update this post one day, but if I don't your takeaway should be that Shane did something cool and did it well!
