Sad Tidings

Aunt Mary's husband, Kevin, passed away peacefully in his sleep late Wednesday night (5/4). The funeral was in Lincoln, NE.

He had suffered from COPD for years. He had just gone into hospice care.

Nana and Pop made the flight out to Lincoln. They sent all the kids their flight itinerary (fly out Monday with return on Friday).

Nana and Pop sent pictures of all the family who made it. Adam and Chris' families were there to remember their father, of course.

Beth's clan was local, so it was an easy trip for them.

Jim flew out, but there was a sad lack of me and my siblings.

I wanted to go out and talked to Carrie about it. After some research, it didn't seem feasible, though. I think Patrick's crew had COVID, Megan was in Ghana, and Matt's been battling to recover from chronic Lyme's disease. Both Stu and I were in the heart of testing season and Ka had her own busy project plus she'd have to fly the girls out with her.

I wish I had more to post here about stories that were told, but I don't. Kevin V's passing was still something I thought needed to be mentioned.
