I've been trying to exercise and watch my weight more lately. Sometimes Shane shows up to cheer me on and visit Bucket (who we've been babysitting for a month or two).
I've been eating breakfast, but fasting until I get home minus caffeine opportunities (both to pray and to avoid calories!). My weight has actually stayed level. I hope it's because I've been switching out fat for muscle, but the jury is still deliberating.
I threw it all out the window for Teacher Appreciation Week. There were free meals every single day!
Our church donated Noodles and Company, the PTSO ordered pizza, student leadership provided a breakfast, and the admin team set up a taco bar one day, and grilled another. There were also free car washes, but that would have required me to leave my room for something other than food.
We were all still working like dogs, but it's the most food I remember for Appreciation week in a long while! AP Testing is already underway and SOLs start soon!
I've heard that skipping meals is a bad way to diet, because it teaches your body that it has to horde food, thus building up fat. Here's a link: https://www.piedmont.org/living-better/what-happens-to-the-body-when-you-skip-meals
ReplyDeleteInstead of skipping a meal, I find that I can lose weight if I just drink a protein drink in place of dinner. I don't do it very often though, unfortunately. Pop, Aunt Dot and I enjoy eating our meals together.
