Beach Week: Sick Kiddos

Kids were sick all week. It started with Evelyn.

She's not a big communicator, but her actions told the story. She wouldn't let anyone hold her, but Stu. If he set her down, she followed. She's shy-natured, but this was above and beyond the normal.

Cole succumbed next. He was a cranky dude.

B got hit at the carnival. He threw up on the walk home. Vomit dripped out his nose.

Shane never had a fever, but he didn't go unscathed. I turned around to help Megan with B barf for one moment, and Shane decided he needed a drink. Now.

His water fountain of choice was a faucet by a scum covered lake. It only took a moment. I turned around to help, turned back, and Shane was on his hands and knees chugging happily.

The diarrhea fairy made her first visit the morning after.

Thankfully, the adults all stayed healthy to take care of the sick and not sleeping kiddos.

Indy wasn't as lucky. Her misfortune started before the trip began. She managed to cut herself and get stitches. She had to wear the cone of shame all week.

Kids get sick. They got some practice building up their immune systems this week, but it didn't prevent us from having a good time.
