We made it to break! It got dicey a few times, but the snow days helped keep December from being overwhelming.
December has to be the busiest time of year for our family. Right after Thanksgiving, we roll into Shane's birthday season, and Christmas. Kids at work get crazy around breaks, wrestling is in season, Shane's winter sports start up, and Carrie inevitably gets sick against her wishes.
I put Christmas songs on the radio, try to remember to put up lights, and keep the reason for the season in mind, but it can get lost in the day to day. The snow (again) helped to put Christmas in mind this year.
I am looking forward to the break! We won't go to South Carolina this year since Nana and Pop are travelling, but there are two weeks where I won't have to worry about work or wrestling unless I want to!
