Carrie was so proud when Shane finished his last Busuu level test. She offered a reward and Shane asked for Spaltoon 3 ($60).
That was August. Shane has been counting OUT LOUD the days until Splatoon 3's release.
The game released Friday, September 9th. Shane preloaded it the night before (talking the whole time about how awesome it was going to be!).
Carrie let him play it before School on Friday, so she could experience some of his excitement before she went out of town.
Shane probably spent the whole day telling his school how great Splatoon 3 was! He played it a ton over the weekend.
Future-sight: Shane beat the game in under a week. He played it like crazy, but hasn't picked it up too much since! Cole isn't as good (and therefore isn't as interested) in the multiplayer. I still remind him about it from time to time. This was a candle that burned super bright, but not for super long (Though, he may think it was weeks in hindsight! He was quite enamored).
