Deja vu. Weren't we just at Sarah's a couple of weeks ago? It's birthday season at Sarah's! This time, we were showing up to celebrate Wyatt.
Shane ran off to play the moment we arrived. He knows the lay of the land! The dogs came up to me.
They wanted scratches and food. They got scratches, but no food.
I spent most of the party sitting at the table chatting. The father of two other partygoers was an interesting guy. He was an ex-marine, dog-lover, who's farm was being harassed by bears (How's that for a conversation starter?).
Meanwhile, the kids went crazy. They only stopped going crazy when Sarah called them over for food! It was a Dinosaur and Costco themed event!
Wyatt was pumped when the cake came out and everyone started singing!
He didn't say what his wish was, though!
Carrie had done all the shopping and wrapping before she left. I just had to show up with Shane and be friendly. I sent her updates and pictures. Ironically, it's a bunch of her friends, but I'm the one who enjoys social events more (but maybe not as much as Shane!).
We stayed for hours! It was the main attraction of the weekend after soccer. Kila went bonkers when we got home asking why we left twice in one day! Shane was the oldest one at the party, but he's so good with younger kids I wouldn't be surprised if we attended a couple more years before he gets "too cool/too old." Only time will tell!
