Shane loves his time down South. I stole a bunch of pictures off Nana's Facebook page.
Shane learned how to use some basic stilts this visit.
Cole and Shane saw the new Mario movie together (I still haven't seen it, but Shane said it was good!).
Ka's crew took Shane to their Ninja Warrior class.
Nana and Pop took Ka's kids and Shane to yet another activity park.
It was called Urban Air and it was the best according to Cole.
Shane readily agreed!
There really are a ton of things for kids to do around Greenville.
Nana and Pop are happy to take the kids to them, too!
Shane loves to visit Nana and Pop and they love to have him visit (and wear Nebraska gear!). I'd arrive at the end of the week to spend some time with everyone and drive Shane home, but that's a later post.
Nana and Pop stay involved. The week after we left, another group of grandkids came to play! Matt and Renee took advantage of Camp Nana-Pop.
From Nana's Facebook: "We enjoyed keeping our grandkids from Columbia, SC, here this week from Tuesday morning to this Friday afternoon for their spring break. Last week, we had our eldest grandchild Shane (age 12) here for his spring break. This week, it was our youngest grandchild Harper (age 1), Graham (age 3) and Aiden (age 5). We took the kids to visit their cousins at Kathleen's house, to play at Acrosmith Gymnastics, walks around our neighborhood ponds, and just lots of playing in the house and outside the house. Tim and I are tired now, but very thankful for time with our grandchildren."
I focus on our adventures with Shane, but the family is much bigger than us.
Nana and Pop are our rallying point. We all check in with them eventually.
After all, we all need loving, trustworthy childcare!
Nana and Pop are wired for kids. It's work, but it's not work-work for them.
Ka's kids have the advantage of being nearest to Nana and Pop, so they get to see all the different cousins the most often.
With Matt's crew being in SC now, too, they'll be getting a lot more cousin time.
I don't remember if it was in April or May, but Nana had a story about how Aiden told her he "loved lobster."
He'd never had lobster before.
He wasn't impressed by it either when Nana got it for him!
The pictures will have to speak for themselves, as these tales are not mine to tell.
It's wonderful to be part of such a large, kid-focused, loving family!
