Family Saturday and T-Mobile

Saturday started off high energy!

Which was great, because soccer got cancelled.

I've been hoping for a practice to get cancelled instead of a game. Practice is all on me. Games half run themselves! Still, if God made me a coach to have a positive effect on kids the practice is probably where it will happen (or at least that what I tell myself).

Riding wasn't cancelled, though. I spent the whole lesson trying to play catch-up on the blog (some things never change...).

While there were fewer teenagers screaming and running around like wild, we did go out and get social. We drove out near Lousia to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa. The Cassano wing of the family went to the T-Mobile store to switch to verizon (Carrie is the family and family business tech support). Shane and I popped into the Goodwill.

I learned well from Nana. Second-hand shopping is the way to go! With clothes items being a buck or a buck fifty each, I went to work clothes shopping (something the younger me never thought I'd be eager to do).

Shane climbed around and played with all the different knick knacks. It's hard to keep him from rolling around on the floor even at this age.

We drove further into town to eat dinner afterward.

It was a fancier restaurant. Carrie spent the beginning of the meal hiding in the car setting up new phones. Later, Shane came back from the bathroom laughing and loudly appreciating a piece of art on display!

The way Shane started the conversation got him some TMI looks and warnings around the table, but, I have to say, the piece was a real mood setter!

We enjoyed our fancy food. Grandma and Grandpa were impressed with the kitchen. I'm so glad that Shane didn't inherit being a finnicky eater from my side of things! He's normally game to try (or be talked into trying) any food.

We paused for a group shot.

And then it was climbing time.

Because why not?

I wasn't going to correct Shane either, because I started it! That's definitely from my side of things. Shane started worrying others when he was too successful. Rain was threatening, too, so it was time to go our separate ways for the night.

Another Saturday in the books! I like working, but Weekends are the best.
