Farewell to Heidi

Sunday, was Heidi's farewell party. Ellie and Carrie added her name to the barn's legacy (and bathroom).

Heidi and Misha made the decision to move back to Germany. Since then, they've sold their homes, cars, and packed their bags. Eddie will stay with us, but is to be retired from riding. He'll munch grass for the rest of his days.

Carrie did up the barn special so that everyone could say goodbye in style.

She went all out!

And baked four different kinds of bread, too.

I wasn't around for the party since I was driving Shane to Nana and Pop's, but I ate a lot of bread over the following week.

I'd say more here, but most of the stories are personal and to barn people. We, ourselves, have paintings hanging on our walls from Misha (which I say are "imported for Germany"). 

The actual flight to Germany is still a little ways off. Heidi and Misha will stay with a friend before flying out from Dulles. We pray for their safe travels and wish them the best in their homeland!
