She Created a Monster

He's adorable, but that doesn't mean I don't want a break from him every now and then. Carrie took away one safe space!

Who wants a dog that wants to moonlight as a cat?

Never mind.

Loki helped keep Shane warm when he had the flu and Carrie says he's a good foot warmer, but when does he stop moving? That must occur when I'm not home!

More often, Loki is leaping up onto the couch and onto you. Eating something? He'd like to share! Got a brush? He wants it!

You can push him off, but he'll pop back up! He thinks it's a fun little game and has the vertical leap to clear small obstacles. He's not a cat and can't jump off the back of the couch, but he's straddled it with his butt on the back of my head.

Also, Carrie has found out having a cat on her lap doesn't deter Loki. It only makes it more fun! Loki will actively come over to "play" with the cat.

If it's Max, Carrie's probably okay. Max will hiss and bat at Loki. He will totally misread the situation and start trying to bat his paws back at her.

If it's Bucket, Carrie has to be careful. Bucket will either hunker down, slink off, or launch. If she launches, claws will be felt!

All in all, it's not terrible. Loki will slow down one day and then it will be nice to sit with him on the couch. For now, he's all puppy.

  1. That's a beautiful picture of Carrie! We enjoy reading Loki adventures and all your blogs so much. We also feel like we are almost there because of the great pictures. Thanks for posting your blogs. They light my day.
