After an active Friday, Saturday was a catch-up and rest day.
The catching up had to come before the resting. Carrie cleaned out the waters while Shane and I piled poop into buckets.
There's lots of other small tasks that need to be done, still. Ernie's stall door could use a new set of hinges. Someone needs to rake the gravel dust back in front of it, as well. Ernie's a digger.
The base of Ernie's door:
Any other horse's door.
But we didn't do that (or check on the loose gutter). I went to work loading up trash and recycling right after we were done.
Carrie drove. Shane had to help with the recycling.
But I did the rest of it.
Where they had us drop the old hay was interesting.
It was right next to the shooting range for the County sheriff's office. I wouldn't have thought to find that at the dump, but I guess it puts the land to use!
Shane thought all the pipes to vent the landfill were interesting, so we even got a little science lesson out of our trip.
The rest of the day involved random house chores, Shane tasks, and doing electronics around the house. I don't think I took any more pictures. My brain just shut off. Sunday, was similar. We had a playdate scheduled with Dylan after church, but it became a reschedule.
It was good to rest, though. The week ahead was supposed to be a busy one with VBS, a playdate, cleaning for the playdate, and a trip up to NOVA!
