COVID 19 - The Coronavirus: Piling Up

We've had a pile of lumber in the yard. I've been content to ignore it, but Carrie decided it was time to go.

We started to carry the lumber off and lay it as a baseline next to our west border fence. It's an aesthetic upgrade. The polywire isn't charged there, so it may be semi-functional in that a horse shouldn't want to step on it.

Carrie pulled out a chainsaw and made some cavaletti stands for the arena, too.

She cut some of the big ones down to make them fit better alongside the fenceline, too, but we've still got a lot of lumber to go.

Shane had fun playing with the scraps when I took him out for sun one day. He practiced kicking them off one by one from top to bottom!

Which is a semi-problem now. Apparently, Maddie tripped a little bit on a piece when Barbara took her for a walk the other day. Whoops! Now we've got to clean it all up.

I gave Shane a small lesson in how the sun affects photos while we were out. Notice the position of the shadow?

I pointed it out to Shane and showed him some other pictures i took where the sun silhouetted the face by being directly in front of the camera.

The week started off chilly and rainy, but it warmed up to the point coats weren't necessary by the weekend.
